After a decade of holding the title as the best-selling luxury supercar with the McLaren F1, the company releases the successor to the throne. The MP4-12C is built from the ground up inside McLaren’s walls. From the engine to the all-carbon fiber tub, this new car is built from years of experience in the supercar and Formula 1 business. Power comes from the McLaren M838T, a twin-turbo 3.8 liter V8 churning out 600 bhp and 433 lb-ft of torque. McLaren says that their engine is not only powerful, it’s environmentally-responsible as well with a low carbon emission rate. Expect the 0-60 time not to exceed three seconds and a top speed of well over 200 mph. A total of 1,000 units will be made and price is expected to be around $265,000.
